Organ building room of the "Waldkirch Organ Foundation"

The amazing and world wide unique collection of barrel organs in Waldkirch is located in the “Orgelbauersaal” of the Waldkirch Organ Foundation. Supplementing the collection inside the Elztal museum are many valuable organs of the Waldkirch production and the famous “figurine organ” of the families Bruder and Ruth can be heard. Mechanical organs inside acrylic glass cases allow an inside view into technology and function of these musical instruments.
Adjacent to the organ building room is the organ construction workshop Jäger & Brommer, where the present production of church organs and barrel organs can be watched and experienced. Since 1799 up until now, Waldkirch has been the home of organ builders, building the unique “Waldkircher Organs”.
